Hi Barry,

Theres been a lot discussion around my department regarding data warehouse and data strategy.

We have a lot of data from different sources and platforms and analysis can get complicated very quickly.

What approach would you take to building an Enterprise data model that could have hundreds of columns
for a single table ?

Part of our mission is to reduce dependency on mainframe and midrange IBM data processing.
We are looking to build the Enterprise in a virtualized server Environment with SQL Server as our
primary database engine.

We have tools and processes to get the data from the varied sources, but some of the challenges
boil down to creating a single model that can be used by any number of applications.

Do any of your tutorials deal with a model that can act as data warehouse starting point?

Regards,

Thanks for your help
