A. DESIGN NOTES :
A.1 Addresses for Prisoners and Staff have not been shown in detail.
They could be shown in a separate Address Table.

B. The Things of Interest, ('THINGS'), include :-
B.1 Associates of Prisoners(also referred to as Guests and Visitors).
B.2 Prisons
B.3 Prisoners.
B.4 Staff

C. These THINGS are Related as follows :-
C.1 A PRISONER can have zero, one or many one ASSOCIATES.
C.2 An ASSOCIATE can be associated with one or many PRISONERS.
C.3 An ASSOCIATE can visit zero, one or many PRISONERS.
C.4 An ASSOCIATE can visit a PRISONER more than once a day,
(for this reason, the 'visit_start_datetime' is part of the primary key).
C.5 Many STAFF can be assigned to one PRISON.
C.6 Each member of STAFF will have one and only one STAFF_ROLE at a PRISON at any point in time.
C.7 A PRISONER can commit one or many OFFENCES.
C.8 An OFFENCE can involve one or many PRISONERS.
C.9 The same OFFENCE can be committed zero, one or many times, and
    each occurrence can involve one or many PRISONERS.

D. Other Characteristics of these THINGS include :-
D.1 A PRISONER has a GENDER, which is validated against a table of valid GENDER_CODES.
