From Concept to Specifications This diagram shows the underlying Framework that will guide the Users through the process of listening to a Presentation on a Concept, such as the Information Agenda, and then adopting the Concept by following a Tutorial-type series of structured Steps.

This will produce Generic Specifications and finally these will be translated into Specifications tailored for IBM products.

This example assumes that the IBM Foundation Toolkit is linked to the implementation of the �Information Agenda� concept.
If this is not appropriate, the same principle holds true.

In 2004, IBM (Hursley) was working on a Model Transformation Framework based around UML, Rational and Java.

The problem of translating Functional Specifications to Product-Specific Specifications is also being addressed in a research environment.
A Model Transformation Framework called Diva is being developed in Europe.
HCL's Transformation Framwork may be interesting.
