This Data Model shows how the concept of Inheritance is used to treat Conferences, Courses, Projects and Workshops as simply four different kinds of Events.
This makes the solution more generic but is sometimes not so easy to use as a Database.
The following Data Models without Inheritance have been produced for comparison purposes :-
