I am creating a data model for an employee and his leave maintenance record.

I can think of two tables.

The scenario is that the employee has Medical leave,CL and PL.

Also some of the leave may be carry forward from the previous year.

So how many tables do I need to create ?

The Employee will take periods of leave and these periods need to be deducted, and the deductions need to be stored.
In addition, the record of leave taken has to be maintained, along the status of the leave has to be maintained,
that it is approved by his manager .

A Data Model that will give me some ideas will great for me.
