This is my current view of a Schema for a Database to support a Smartphone. This page shows the next Stage.

Data Model for MyLifeBits and a Smartphone MyLifeBits is a Microsoft Research Project which is investigating how we might record every aspect of our daily lifes, now and in the future.

It is therefore an excellent and thought-provoking example of how we might be using Databases and Technololgy in our daily lives in 10 or 20 years' time.

It was covered in the British Daily Telegraph newspaper on April 21st. 2007.

We can see things happening around us that show the MyLifeBIts approach gradually becoming a reality.
I created this Data Model while watching the London Marathon on April 22nd. 2007. Runners in the Marathon had chips in their shoes which transmitted their finishing times to a central Database.

Another example is that Nike sells running shoes that are iPod-enabled that allow you to monitor your performance in real-time.
These are definitely examples of MyLifeBits !!!

Our Digital Arts Award will produce some examples of how life might look when MyLifeBits is a part of everyday life.
